Then One day I stumbled upon a (cute, sexy, witty, sharp) Canadian
girl called Julia. We had a quick chat on IM and email and we hit it
off.

Then One day I stumbled upon a (cute, sexy, witty, sharp) Canadian
girl called Julia. We had a quick chat on IM and email and we hit it
off. Within a few days we were chatting (for hours) on the phone and
it was obvious that we should meet. The only issue was that I lived
in London!

Luckily I had an old friend in Toronto who I called up to check if I
could crash on his couch. He was happy to offer his basement so I
booked a ticket to meet Julia in Toronto, this was Feb '05. (I
should make you aware that this was admittedly a little bit mad as
flying to foreign lands to meet complete strangers was NOT something
I had done
before)

We spent one amazing week together and at the end of my trip we both
felt that we wanted to pursue a long-distance relationship as there
was clearly a very strong connection.

A hop, skip and a jump (not forgetting arguments, tears and the
usual highs/lows associated with long-distance relationships) and
Julia moved to London one and half years later in April '06 after
she completed her studies.

We were engaged the following October in Spoleto, Italy and married
in Toronto in August '07.

This year we were blessed with a gorgeous baby boy called Ezra Mason
who is 6 months old now.
